How a collaboration with Peking University enabled the world’s first stable True 0°C chiller.
In the rapidly growing cold therapy industry, “0 degrees” is the ultimate benchmark. Powered by the PKU research data, Himalaya’s Zero Cryo Tech™ utilizes a proprietary algorithm that allows our chillers to operate safely at the physical edge of freezing (0.0°C) without crossing into solid-state icing.
Static water freezes faster than moving water. Our system utilizes Active Flow Sensors that communicate directly with the compressor’s PCB.
Instead of a simple “On/Off” cycle, we use a Micro-Pulse strategy (Electronic Expansion Valve control).
In simple terms: We “surf” on the edge of 0°C, maintaining maximum cold without falling into the ice trap.
